“Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy – because we will always want to have something else or something more.” -Brother David Steindl-Rast
Certainly we can be thankful for the precious opportunity to practice together. In silent sitting and movement, this morning is appropriate for all, regardless of experience. Yoga is not about having some special kind of yogi body. It is about letting go of ideas of how we should be or what we should do, and allowing ourselves to fully engage in the present moment. Then we are able to be grateful for and enjoy the body we have, just as it is. Please bring a large towel and yoga sticky mat. If you don’t have your own, mats are available.
