I am happy to celebrate the launching of IMC’s new website by expressing much gratitude to all the people who have contributed to our previous website and now to the new one. Our previous website grew gradually in content and pages so that plenty of our material was tucked away, unnoticed. We hope that with the new design much more of the website is easily accessible. You are encouraged to explore it.
We have added this “Reflections from Gil” section where I will offer short reflections, news, and teachings on a periodic basis. One intention is to keep the IMC community—near and far— more informed about things I believe are useful to know or to reflect upon. Sometimes it will be news and information about IMC or IRC. Sometimes this will be news about activities I am involved with, including writings, teachings and translations, such as the following:
The mind, hard to see,
Subtle—alighting where it wishes—
The sage protects.
The watched mind brings happiness. ~ Dhammapada verse 36
Comment: Knowing our self is not a neutral activity; the mind changes in beneficial ways when observed kindly.
