Basic instructions in mindfulness meditation are taught sequentially in this 5-week class. The series starts with mindfulness of breathing, followed by mindfulness of the body, emotions, and thinking, and concludes with a discussion on concentration and the application of mindfulness in daily life.
Classes will include guided meditation, dharma talks, and group discussions. These are rich opportunities to ask questions of teachers and to relate with other sangha members. Classes are appropriate for beginners as well as those with more experience who want support or to inspire practice.
IMC is committed to the health and safety of everyone. Therefore, current requirements for attending in person include being fully vaccinated and boosted and wearing an N95/KN95 mask.
